Watmore appointed CEO of the Football Association

(By Richard Holway) Many readers will know Ian Watmore from his 24 years at Accenture; where he was UK MD from 2000 to 2004. Watmore joined the Government in 2004 as the first Government CIO (a position currently held by John Suffolk). Currently Watmore is the Permanent Secretary for the Department for Innovation, Universities and Skills.

So, proving that there really is life after IT, you will be interested that Watmore has just been appointed as CEO of the Football Association.

Footnote – Although we might know Watmore, I note that much of the media is saying “Ian who?”
