September saw European transaction numbers up a third month-by-month to 218, with the $11.6b aggregate deal value the highest for over a year. CEO Peter Rowell also reported that valuations are heading back towards long-term norms. Let’s hope these acquisitions make more strategic sense than some of the recent US-based megadeals! Anyway, we’ll be delving into the quarter’s UK SITS M&A activity in the next issue of IndustryViews M&A later in the month.
