Autonomy grows revenues and margins with Interwoven on board
(By Philip Carnelley, Thur Jul 16 2009, 8:35) As indicated in its trading statements, Autonomy has reported another impressive set of results, this time for the quarter and half year to 30 June. Including the Interwoven acquisition, revenues were up 55% to $195m (£119m) for the quarter – the first full quarter of Interwoven's contribution – and up 41% to $325m (£199m) for the half year. The integration of Interwoven is said to be “essentially complete.” One effect of the Interwoven business has been to raise the proportion of revenues from the Americas to over two-thirds. It wasn’t just an acquisition story – organic growth of its core IDOL technology was 18%. The company says that currency effects raised revenues about 2pp. Operating margins were up to 38% (47% "adjusted"). We’ll say more about how Autonomy does it, after the briefing.
