Further to the news – on April Fool’s Day – that the Competition Commission had ruled against the Capita/IBS merger, the CC issued a ruling today (see here) requiring Capita to sell off the IBS Revenues & Benefits business – or all of IBS if it can’t find a buyer. The CC has said that Capita can keep IBS’ Social Housing software business as “there are considerably more suppliers in competition with the merged company”. Capita issued a statement (see here) that discussions have already commenced with potential buyers.
