(By Philip Carnelley – Thursday 11th June 2009 11:00am). More positive news from System C, the AIM-listed healthcare systems provider (see here). It expects profit for FYE 31 May 2009 to be at or around the top end of market expectations with reportedly good performance from both its services and products divisions.
Dire warnings this week about the state of NHS finances – the NHS confederation yesterday heard about a £15b shortfall when the current spending round ends in 2011 (for example, see here) – could bode ill for major healthcare IT projects. But System C appears to be one of the beneficiaries from the uncertainties in the NPfIT, so hopefully it will indeed be onwards and upwards. Their shares were among the best performers last month (see Share indices in May 09) and today’s news have pushed them up 4%.
